Linda Tewart Porada, 79, of Punxsutawney, died Friday, October 27, 2017, in the comfort of her own home.
     She was born September 23, 1938 in Hawthorne, Pa, the daughter of the late Edward Tewart and Marguerite (Buffington) Tewart.
     She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church and a graduate of the Punxsutawney Area High School in 1956.
     On February 23, 1963, in Fort Benning, Georgia she married Michael J. Porada, who preceded her in death.
     She was a former employee of Pramco/Sportswear, Sears and the most dedicated "box-folder" at Laska's Pizza in Punxsutawney.
     She was a past member of the Lindsey Fire Hall Women's Auxialliary.
     She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who adored her family, friends and pets. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, listening to Elvis, watching her soap operas and never missed an episode of "Blue Bloods". She was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey fan and loved watching them on TV and going to the games.
     She is survived by two daughters, Jeanne Porada (and Chris Johnson) and Lynnie Porada, both of Punxsutawney; a granddaughter Audrey Jean Johnson; a brother-in-law Larrry Porada and wife Jackie of Punxsutawney; a sister-in-law Mary Ann Dinger; and several nieces and nephews. She was also "Grandma Linda" to Dee Good, Scott Salsgiver, and Alexa Salsgiver all of Punxsutawney.
     She was preceded in death by her husband Michael, her parents and her sister Jeanne T. McLean.
     Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
     A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 30, 2017 at the First English Lutheran Church in Punxsutawney.
     Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
    Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Linda to Lisa's Ladybugs or the First English Lutheran Church in Punxsutawney.
