Betty K Jewell

Betty K. Jewell, 100, of Reynoldsville, PA, died on Thursday, April 4, 2024, while a resident of Brookside Senior Living in Brookville, PA. She was born on September 3, 1923, to the late Herman H. and Clara Mae (Bryan) Deible in Reynoldsville. Betty was married in 1946 to Wayne Jewell, Wayne preceded her in death in 1989. She worked at the former Cameron Manufacturing, Reynoldsville Casket Company, and for the DuBois Hospital. Betty and Wayne formed Jewell’s Auto and Jewell’s Busing in 1969 and she retired in 1981. She was a member of the Soldier Community Church. Betty is survived by two sons; Kenneth Jewell of DuBois, PA, and Michael (Sherry) Jewell of Reynoldsville; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by an infant son: Fredrick; grandson: Shawn; and great-granddaughter: Mahkenzie. She was the last surviving of her immediate family and was also preceded in death by five brothers: Lloyd, Raymond, Charles, John, and Robert Deible; and two sisters: Ruby Hallowell and Mary Murphy. Following her wishes, there will be no public services. All services will be held privately to the family at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to a charity of the donor’s choice. Final interment will take place at Reynoldsville Cemetery, Reynoldsville, Jefferson Co., PA.
