Fred was truly one of the great good guys of life, and I was beyond sadden to learn of his passing this morning from my mother Linda. My fondest memory of him, aside from his humor, was that he took the time to write one of my Eagle Scout letters of recommendation for me as a youth. My heart aches for Dottie and I wish her and the rest of the family nothing but the most positive of thoughts as they navigate the difficult days ahead without him. He will indeed be missed.

Condolences to Dorothy and Fred's family. Fred was one of my mentors when I worked for Punxsy PD. He was a great role model, demonstrating patience and calmness during chaotic situations. I had the opportunity to meet and talk with Fred about a week ago after being out of touch over 35 years. It was a very nice reminiscing about old times and sharing some laughs. He will be missed. God bless.
