Rosie Ann Hickox, 84, of Rossiter, PA, passed away peacefully at UPMC Altoona Hospital on December 8, 2020.
She was born June 6, 1936 in Olanta, PA. Rosie was the daughter of the late Katheline Skebo Olexy and Michael Olexy.
She is survived by one daughter, Diane Burkett of Reynoldsville, PA. She’s also survived by two sons, Tom Hickox (Kay) of Smithport, PA and James Hickox (Mary) of Punxsutawney, PA.
She’s also survived by two sisters, Margaret Lingenfelter (Dave) and Josephine Swicklick of Markton, PA as well as one brother John Olexy (Virginia) of Rockton, PA.
Additionally, she is survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as two brothers, George Olexy and Albert Olexy.
She loved working on her flower garden and spending time talking with her friends and neighbors. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren.
Rosie’s funeral care has been entrusted to the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home in Punxsutawney, PA.
At the request of her family, there will be no visitation at this time but a celebration of her life will be announced at a later time.
Her final interment will be privately held at the Fairview Cemetery.
