Giulio “Joe” Anthony Felici, 94, of Munderf, PA, passed away during the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 6, 2023. He was born on May 30, 1929, to the late Emilio and Anna (Alexander) Felici in Colliers, WV. He proudly served his country with the Merchant Marines, shuttling troops, and equipment across the Pacific Ocean. Joe worked for Pittsburgh Steel for over thirty five years, working his way up from laborer to superintendent of bi products before his retirement. Joe was a faithful man who attended multiple churches in Munderf and was a member of the Kirkman Independent Baptist Church. He enjoyed wildlife and was particularly fond of the purple martin bird, he attempted for many years to have the bird take up residence on his property. Purples martins are famously fickle birds and Joe never managed to “adopt” one, but he never lost his passion for them. In addition to enjoying observing nature, he also loved hunting. Joe is survived by children, stepchildren, grandchildren, and one sister. In addition to his parents and wife, Joe was preceded in passing by his first wife, Vesta May (Fluharty) Felici; his second wife, Etta Louise (Syphrit) (Nighswander) Felici; and children. Family and friends will be received on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 4pm to 6pm at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2023, also at the funeral home, beginning at 11:00am. Interment will take place at Temple Cemetery, Warsaw Twp., Jefferson Co., PA. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Kirkman Independent Baptist Church, 2502 Route 28, Brookville, PA 15825.
