Louise Mae Joyner, 76, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023, while a patient at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. She was born on November 6, 1947, to the late Joseph and Louise Mae (Bogen) Carnes in Lockport, NY. She graduated from DuBois High School with the class of 1966. Louise married Rodney M. Joyner on November 25, 1967; Rodney preceded her in passing. Louise was a wonderful wife and mother who put her family first and always made sure their needs were met. Louise was Protestant by faith and a devout believer in her Lord. One of her favorite activities was attending church, she loved seeing her church family and praising God’s love every opportunity that she had. Louise deeply loved her family but had a very special place in her heart for her grandchildren. Louise will be dearly missed by many. Louise is survived by one son; George M. (Jodie) Joyner; two daughters; Waneta L. Joyner; Dawn M. (Frank) Corso; two sisters; Elvina Reddick; Margaret Johnson; five granddaughters; and two grandsons. In addition to her parents and husband, Louise was preceded in passing by one brother; Jesse Carnes; two sisters; Betty Wineberg; Cora Brockway; and two brothers; William Carnes; and Robert Carnes. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 11am to 1pm at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. An additional viewing will take place from 5pm to 7pm also at the funeral home. A funeral service will take place immediately following the second viewing, beginning at 7pm.
