Patricia Ann (Serge) Gathers

Patricia Ann (Serge) Gathers, 74, of Winter Haven, FL, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026. Patricia was born on January 13, 1954, to the late Anthony William and Diane Marie (Palmerino) Serge in Pittsburgh, PA. Patricia married Richard Gathers on June 27, 1986, in Erie, PA, Richard survives her. She attended Edinboro University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in education, master’s degree in education, Special Education, and also received an early childhood certificate, cooperative education certificate. Patricia was a teacher for over forty years. Patricia was also a Special Olympics coordinator. She was a member of the St. Mathews Catholic Church in Winter Haven, FL. She was also a member of the Tampa Bay Fossil Club, where she enjoyed fossil hunting. Patricia loved to cook Italian food and collected dolls and Italian Capodimonte. She loved her pets Holly the cat, and Beans the dog.  In addition to her husband, Patricia is survived by nine children; Alice (Ray) Puzarowski; Mike (Andrea) Gathers; Jaime Hegedus; Tony Arkwright; Colleen Arkwright; Theresa (Jordan) Gathers; Kaitlin (Ryan) Gathers; Tyrese (Thomas) Gathers; Richard Gathers; one sister, Kathy (Jerry) Stamler, thirteen grandchildren; Dylan, Helena, Ava, Aidan, Giavonna, Jackson, Dominic, Ameríco, Remi, Ryan Jr., Lainey, Charlotte, Ónix; three great grandchildren; Freyja; Francesca; and Milo. In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in passing by one daughter Christy. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Fait – d’Argy Funeral Home, 117 N. Jefferson St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767 from 4 – 8 PM. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11:00AM at the Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church, 616 W. Mahoning St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767 and officiated by Monsignor Joseph Richardo. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Punxsutawney, PA.
