Virginia "Jean" Elizabeth (Trumbette) Uplinger

Virginia “Jean” Elizabeth (Trumbette) Uplinger, 92, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, while a patient at Penn Highlands Brookville Hospital in Brookville, PA, surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born on July 28, 1931, to the late Thomas and Mary Trumbette. She worked for Punxsutawney Sportswear in Punxsutawney, PA and Utilities and Industries, Inc., in Reynoldsville. Jean was Presbyterian by faith. Jean married the love of her life, Ivan H. Uplinger, on July 23, 1949; Ivan preceded her in passing. Jean loved being surrounded by family and friends. She loved to cook and bake and entertain her family. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Jean is survived by two children; Ivan Thomas (Darlene) Uplinger; Mary Mabel Hollis; one sister; Elizabeth Edwards; four grandchildren; Dr. Brian (Danielle) Uplinger; Gina (Michael Stevens) Uplinger; David (Heather) Hollis; and Dana (John) Kramer. Jean is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; Brenden (Marissa Dusetzina) Uplinger; Mackenzie Uplinger; Jonah Uplinger; Solomon Uplinger; Emily (Bryce Hooven) Kramer; Gage Pardee; Madison Uplinger; Nathan Kramer; Blake Hollis; Bram Hollis; Bowie Hollis; and two great-great grandchildren; Draven Watson and Xander Uplinger. In addition to her parents and husband, Jean is preceded in passing by four brothers; four sisters; and one son-in-law; David Hollis. Following Jean’s wishes, all services will be held privately to her family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
