Danise L Elkin, 59, of Rossiter, PA died Friday June 9, 2017 at UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. 
She was born August 7, 1957 in Punxsutawney, PA, the daughter of the late James Smith and Mary (Williamson) Smith.  
She was a homemaker.
She was married to Wendell Elkin, who survives.  
She is survived by one son, Adam Holmes and his wife Brooke of DuBois, PA; two daughters Tiffani Holmes and Traci Holmes both of Punxsutawney; one step-daughter Kaycee Elkin and one step-son Dale Elkin both of Big Run; and also by one sister.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons and one brother.
Friends will be received at the Richard L Fait Funeral Home on Thursday June 15,2017 from 2-4 and 6-8.  The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday June 16, 2017 at 11 AM.
Interment will follow at Zion Cemetery in Porter Township.
The family requests that memorials in memory of Danise be made to the Richard L Fait Funeral Home to defray funeral expenses

Dear Danise. I am so sorry that I can't be there to give you a kiss before you enter heaven. I will miss our 2 hour everyday conversations. God has just received a wonderful and caring angel. I hope you will be at peace and out of pain. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU. Your niece, Dee Dee
