Victor E. Belin, 91 of Punxsutawney, died peacefully at home on Monday, December 21, 2020.

He was born on October 29, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA , the son of the late Victor G. Belin and Ann Marie (Callis) Belin.

On November 17, 1950, he married the love of his life, Lucille Hockin, who also preceded him in death.

Victor was a graduate of the SSCD High School, class of 1948.  He was employed by the B & O Railroad in Punxsutawney for 38 years. 

He was a member of SS. Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church of Punxsutawney where he served part-time as an usher.

He was a member of the Punxsutawney Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Walston Club, and the Knights of Columbus.  He also sang with the Barbershop Quartet.

Victor was a avid Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates fan and enjoyed playing pool and bowling   He was also an avid lover of fishing and especially enjoyed fishing trips to Canada.

He is survived by three sons, Philip Belin (Karen) of Indiana PA,  Mark Belin (Connie) of Pottstown, PA and Christopher Belin (Connie) of Leechburg, PA as well as three daughters,  Kristene Harvey of Wilcox, PA,  Marguarete DePriest (John) of Louisville, Mississippi and Kathleen Benson  (Mark) of Punxsutawney.

He’s also survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Victor’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home in Punxsutawney,   At the family’s request, his services and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, his family has requested that any donations be made to SS. Cosmas and Damian Church in Punxsutawney.

Uncle Vic and Aunt Lou were the life of the family reunions I remember through '91. What else can I say. Thanks.

Kathy, I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. I lost both of my parents this year, so I know the grief that comes with the loss of a parent. I have been thinking of you, and praying for you and your family.
